Stretch marks

Although our skin is very resilient, when overstretched, the normal production of collagen is disrupted. This can produce stretch marks that appear as narrow, pink or purple streak-like lines that fade to a white or silver colour. Stretch marks affect all skin types and often result from pregnancy, rapid weight gain or growth. The most common places to see stretch marks are the stomach, upper thighs, breasts, or buttocks. While there’s nothing medically or even physically wrong with having these marks, many patients feel self-conscious, and look for ways to get rid of them. Our office has a variety of treatment options that use advanced radiofrequency energy to remodel tissues within the area. The effects of these deep treatments promote growth of healthy tissue and collagen production which helps fade and reduce the look of stretchmarks and other marks on the body.
