Dilated pores

Skin pores are tiny openings in the skin that function to release perspiration and oil (sebum). Pores are an essential part of the way our skin functions to protect and regulate systems within our body. Some patients experience enlarged pores especially around the nose, cheeks, and forehead. Common causes include genetics, age, sun exposure and skin type. Pores tend to become enlarged as we lose our skin elasticity, and the walls of the pores lose their structure. Along with enlarged pores, other skin concerns such as tone and texture can be addressed with advanced technology in our office. By enhancing the quality of the skin and promoting collagen production, a tighter, healthier glow can be achieved.
