What is the procedure?

Botulinum Toxins are used to combat lines and wrinkles on the face and neck. These cosmetic injections are powerful tools that can help patients achieve a fresher, younger and more rested appearance. How does it work?

Botulinum Toxins work by blocking the release of an important neurotransmitter at the connection site between the nerves and muscles. When strategically injected into the muscles of the face that cause fine lines and wrinkles, the muscle is prevented from contracting and remains in a relaxed state. This can treat the appearance of current lines and wrinkles and prevent future ones from forming as well. After injection the muscle gradually relaxes over the next 2-4 days to reveal a more youthful and rejuvenated look.

Is the procedure right for me?

When injected for cosmetic reason, Botulinum Toxins reduce the appearance of the wrinkles around the eyes, on the neck, across the bridge of the nose, on the forehead and around the mouth. Patients looking to correct fine lines and wrinkles caused by muscle contraction and facial expressions (i.e., laugh lines, smile lines and frown lines) are excellent candidates for this procedure. If winkles are caused by other factors such as sun damage, we offer treatments like Morpheus8 Face to smooth and tighten the skin. Your results

Botulinum Toxin injections can be performed during a quick and painless 15-minute appointment. The effects of these facial injections typically last 3-6 months, but can last longer with ongoing treatment. Approximately 3-4 days after injection, patients begin to feel the muscles in the injected area relax and have restricted movement patterns.

This will reduce fine lines and wrinkles caused by those muscles, while leaving patients with a very natural and elegant expression that appears youthful and restored.
